One of those efforts include the OFCCP AAP, which is the office of federal contract compliance program, which was first founded forty one years ago in 1977. Its headquarters is primarily located Washington, DC and has over a thousand employees at present day.

The reasoning behind establishing this branch is for the purpose of ensuring that all citizens currently residing within the US can obtain their basic rights when working inside the country. The laws and different policies being implemented focuses mainly with ensuring that no person undergoes scrutiny or discrimination because of their race, religion, sexuality, gender, or background. First established in nineteen sixty five, through an order called executive order 11246. This was first accepted and approved by former US president Lyndon Johnson, on the twenty fourth of September in nineteen sixty five. This includes all employers and with special emphasis on contractors and subcontractors.

This was also the year when their name went from OFCC to OFCCP, to represent the new changes and policies too.
