In essence, the so called parti colored Yorkie is no different from an ordinary Yorkie or rather Yorkshire terrier. It is also a pure breed like the regular Yorkie except that it has more color variation. A standard terrier will have range of colorings from tan and blue and mixtures in between, while the parti one will have black, white and tan variants and combinations.

Yorkies only come as pure breeds, and add to this their popularity then you can expect to pay a pretty penny with price ranges between USD1200 and USD1500. Prices are of course higher if registered with the American Kennel Club, and also depending on regional supply and demand conditions.

Personality wise it can be quite a bossy dog and will be known for its tenacity, feistiness and courage. Although small, it really has all the traits of the larger terrier and may require an owner with a strong personality so that it can be more easily trained. So if you have a meek personality, this may not be really the dog for you.

Despite its size, this breed is fairly long lived, and can have a lifespan of anywhere from thirteen to twenty years. This can also be extended somewhat with proper and adequate care and maintenance. When it comes to diet, it has to be fairly strict somewhat due to their sensitive digestive systems.

Like any dog, they also have their share of health issues, such as chronic diarrhea, if one is not careful with its diet, and also vomiting. They are easily injured also and are very sensitive to any form of anesthesia, and thus must be kept indoors a majority of the time to prevent any untoward incidents.
