Are You Using Email Marketing? Here's How

Where is the line between email marketing and spam? If you are taking the time to set up an email marketing attack, it is important that your message is clearly heard. Keep your messages interesting, and your customers will continue to read your emails. The tips that follow will help you craft an email marketing strategy that is both interesting and profitable.

When following up to your customers via email, you could try following up with some kind of reminder. For example, you could add a "visit today" button onto your ad. In addition, the closing of the postscript could inform your customers to make sure they do not disregard the CTO.

When you ask people to opt-in, let them know what to expect. Tell them what you will be sending and how often you will send it. People will be more likely to sign up if they know that you are not going to flood their inboxes with wordy emails that they have no intention of reading.

You can promote this even further by creating a referral rewards plan, which will not only increase the number of subscribers to your newsletter, but also your pool of potential buyers.

Try following up an email to your customers with a notice that tells them not to procrastinate. Insert a suggestion that tells them to purchase now onto the reply. The ending could tell them not to miss this incredible opportunity by waiting. Instead, they should act now to reap the full benefits.

To get what feels like a personal touch, occasionally try and mix up what your format is. For instance, if you usually send HTML emails, try using text format for a change. If you write it well, you can create a nice emotional connection between your company and the newsletter readers.

Remember to include great incentives for your customers. They will have more interest in doing business with you when they see an advantage to it. For example, offer free shipping to customers who spend a certain amount after reading your marketing email.

Everyone knows that email filters are getting more and more strict. Graphics and other things included in emails are blocked out, so a reader might not even see what you are trying to say. Therefore, a good piece of advice is to use plain text with a hyperlink to your site.

Make sure your email campaign matches your brand. Use the same logos, fonts, colors as well as a similar messaging style to what your readers could find on your website. This helps the receivers of your email feel comfortable with the content and makes them more likely to open it.

Let customers know what to expect from the get-go. When a new subscriber opts in, send an immediate confirmation email that details what the customer can expect to receive from you and how often you will send emails. Filling customers in upfront can prevent future opt-outs and complaints and keep subscribers active.
